Discovered in western Australia recently the Micro-slivers of diamonds that are 4 billion years old, or within 300 million years of the Earth's formation. These diamonds, are no no thicker than a hair and of no use in jewelry, are 1 billion years older than the diamonds previously thought to be the world's oldest, and scientists use them to uncover clues and discover about the earth's formation. Yes, it was the oldest diamond and it was confirmed by geologist Alexander Nemchin from Western Australia's Curtin University of Technology.
